Scrantonicity at The Ready Room: “The Office”-themed Holiday Party Supports STL Community Organizations
St. Louis, MO: The Ready Room will host Scrantonicity — a holiday party inspired by the hit TV show, “The Office” — on Thursday, December 12, at 8:00 p.m to raise awareness and funding for local community organizations. This all-age party welcomes everyone and will feature “The Office”-themed trivia, cocktails, live music, a costume contest, Dunder Mifflin Olympiad Games and Dundee Awards, as well as stand-up comedy.
Presented by Lifting the Lou and sponsored by 1904 labs and ALT 104.9 FM, Scrantonicity aims to bring the city together for a night of Dunder Mifflin-style fun and frivolity, while raising money and awareness for local organizations working to elevate underfunded areas of St. Louis.
“We launched Lifting the Lou to help spread prosperity beyond the Cortex and into the rest of St Louis. We aren’t trying to duplicate the great work being done by our community partners but rather act as a catalyst by introducing them to new potential volunteers and donors while raising money for them through our event series.”
- Sean Walsh, Managing Director and Co-Founder at 1904labs
The Cortex Innovation District and The Grove are booming, creating much needed “Islands of Prosperity” in St. Louis. Unfortunately, people in other areas of the city are still mired in poverty, and all the problems associated with it, and are eagerly waiting for an opportunity to share in the benefits of prosperity.
“We are so thankful to be included in this fun and one of a kind event to benefit children.”
- Marshal Cohen, Executive Director & Co-founder at Lift for Life Academy
All proceeds will help support three community organizations: North Side Community School, Lift for Life Academy, and Mission: St. Louis, each of which will have an information booth at the event so guests can learn more about how to get involved.
Lifting the Lou
Lifting the Lou was formed to help organizations like these eradicate poverty and create prosperity in local communities. As its first initiative, Lifting the Lou is presenting a series of public entertainment oriented events to:
- Raise funds for a select group of underfunded community organizations who are focused on creating prosperity in St. Louis
- Expose those who attend these events to these community organizations with the hope that they might be inspired to get involved.
Lifting the Lou’s Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG) is to see the entire city of St. Louis become one big, integrated “Island of Prosperity”. We welcome you to join us to make that BHAG into a reality!
